Back to School Shopping List

Back to School Shopping List

Ask any mother of school aged children what time of year they dread the most and I guarantee you that most of them will say back to school shopping. I remember the days of back to school shopping before uniforms and personalized items. It seems that personalized items are on many Back to School Shopping Lists. Who doesn’t like to have their name on their backpack, right?

When shopping for clothing on your back to school shopping list, remember that not everything for the school year needs to be purchased before the first day of school.  Holidays, such as Labor Day, usually offer some great sales.  Many stores are offering cash back or “store cash” when you spend a certain amount in one visit. That is a great time to buy especially because you can usually still use a coupon and also purchase from the sale and clearance racks. If you shop early, you can score some great deals online with coupon codes and cash back. and, both offer double cash back from certain stores just in time for back to school.

Although you may think twice about shopping a second hand store, try to think about the clothing that you and your kids wear only a handful of times or never wear at all. Most consignment stores will only take clothing that is in good shape and even brand name items.  Before going back to school shopping, think about preparing for all the new clothing by cleaning out closets and donating or selling kids’ clothing to earn cash toward new stuff at sites like Through August 31, 2014,  get 40% off for new customers with coupon code is EVENTFUL or you can sell your gently used clothing and make some extra cash.
