Week 3 on Nutrisystem, check! I cannot believe that I have completed 3 full weeks and did not throw in the towel. Really, I did not know how I was going to get through the first couple weeks. Then, a crazy thing happen a few days ago when the kids were taking a nap. It was almost 1:00 when I realized that I hadn’t eaten lunch yet (I usually eat between 11-11:30!). I am starting to learn how and when to eat. I mean, it’s not Rocket Science that we aren’t supposed to eat a pound of pasta at 7pm! I just completed my order for next month and made sure to add a few extra Pizza’s (pictured above). They are so yummy and great when the family is eating pizza for dinner. I don’t feel like the outcast.

Now, back to my progress.. I had a board meeting at the YMCA this week and brought with me my mashed potatoes. I didn’t even realize that there was going to be food at the meeting, but I was so hungry and running late so I heated up the mashed potatoes to bring in the car. I only had to travel a few blocks, but couldn’t stop eating the mashed potatoes (yes, they were yummy and had a little cheese in them). When I got to the meeting and realized there was food, I didn’t feel as bad. Although at one point I thought about licking the side of the mashed potato cup (I stopped myself from this, but they were just so good that I wanted more).
This past weeked was very hard because of Memorial Day weekend and cook outs. I really didn’t think that I was going to pass up my aunt’s Pasta Salad, but it wasn’t so hard. I stuck to small portions and also added in the suggestions from the Nutrisystem Pocket Booklet. I also had a few drinks (even though that’s kinda a no no). I just walked a few extra blocks on those days 😉
I keep getting asked about the price of Nutrisystem and if it’s worth it. Right now, you can get 40% off a 4 week plan when you select auto-delivery (which can be canceled at any time)…The final price would drop from $412.45 to $269.99 and includes 28 days of breakfast, protein shake, lunch, dinner and dessert with free shipping deliverd to your door. This comes out to $2.41 a meal, just over $9 a day.
