Hungry? Go to bed- Nutrisystem Week 1 #NSNation
For those of you not following, I have just completed my first week of Nutrisystem. And, yes I am still standing!
I have to be honest in telling you that this was a stressful week because I just wasn’t prepared. It’s totally my fault, but I just didn’t properly grocery shop or mentally prepare myself for this new way of eating. It really is all about portion control and at least it’s keeping me under control for now. I am learning that it’s all about what you eat and what time of day that you eat it. Some of the meals are really good. I am addicted to the lunch 3 cheese noodles that taste so good (but I can eat like 5 of them..lol). I also LOVE the deserts that taste like candy bars.
My biggest struggle not using coffee creamer, so I have been using the creamer as my extras. I really don’t think that I am eating enough fruits and veggies, so that is something that I am working on with my grocery list. When I started this program, I guess that my feeling was that all of the food was provided but it’s important to incorporate some fresh foods into every meal. So, next week I will definitely be adding some fresh greens into each meal. I am learning more each day about the program and what I can eat unlimited amounts.
I have also been super thirsty but my body is still adjusting. I think that I lost 2 lbs, which I am happy about because I see that it’s not going to happen over night. My mom told me that I look thin tonight, which made me feel really good. The only program is that i am hungry at night and am used to snacking while online. My answer to the night cravings is to just go to bed, and that’s what I do 🙂
