Sesame Place Review and Fall Discounts

Looking to take a last minute trip before the kids head back to school or a weekend getaway to break up the school week, Sesame Place has a jam packed schedule to entertain kids of all ages.

My kids had an opportunity to visit last week before returning back to the daily routine and structure of school. We were lucky to visit on such a warm day where we were able to take advantage of the water attractions as well as the rides and shows.

Growing up in the 80’s, Sesame Street was the only show we were allowed to watch. It still brings a smile to my face hearing the words “Sunny Days”

The fun starts from the minute you enter Sesame Place with the music playing and character pictures all over. My kids were jumping out of their carseats to race into the park. Since it was a hot day, we made sure to wear our bathing suits and bring a change of clothing with us (even though we stayed in our suits all day). My favorite part of Sesame Place is that it is one park. The kids were able to go from water slides to rides throughout the day.

The park is organized by character themes, which is super cute and allows the kids to really make personal connections. As we entered “Erny’s Waterworks” and the kids were looking for the rubber duckie. I love that we could find fun for kids of all ages. The older kids actually came into the baby area at times to play with Jaxon.

There is a great variety for lunch throughout the park offering snacks and kids’ meals that include a souvenir. We purchased hot dog meals that came with a really cute Elmo Plate and Sesame cup that honestly my kids use them all the time. And this helped us at the end of the day tell the kids that we didn’t need to buy anything extra since we already had our souvenir.

If you are looking to spend some quality family time together, visit Sesame Place  in Langhorne, PA. One suggestion that I would recommend is bringing a small cooler with a few drinks and snacks for the kids in case there are any melt downs. I wish that we had done while waiting in line. There are so many refreshment stands, but this will save you a few dollars. Another great way to save is buy purchasing the souvenir drinks that can be refilled for just $.99. We did this since we didn’t bring anything in with us.
